Friday 14 October 2022Tooting Bec Common Cross CountryWednesday, October 6th, some of the year 5 and 6 students participated in a cross-country race at Tooting Bec Common! All the runners finished their races and have much to be proud of. They gave up their own time to put in the hard work of training for the big day. Hillbrook is proud to have hard-working athletes representing our school community!
Friday 30 September 2022Library ReopensAfter some much-needed organising, our wonderful library is open again to Hillbrook students. Last week, our classes had their first library sessions, spending time exploring the new stock and selecting a book to take home.
Monday 18 July 2022Little Hillbrook Run for FundsCongratulations to the Little Hillbrook staff who managed to raise an impressive £1200 for sensory equipment in their nursery when the team took part in Tooting’s Parkrun on 16th July. They would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who sponsored them!
Tuesday 12 July 2022Maths ChampsLast week two teams of Year 5 children participated in the maths ‘Treasure Hunt’ competition at Burntwood school. After several rounds of problem-solving, tower building and code-cracking the Hillbrook Beavers emerged victorious and were awarded a certificate, packs of pens and some special Burntwood School chocolate bars. Both teams were a real credit to Hillbrook School and we were very proud of their performance and teamwork.
Wednesday 26 May 2021Photography WorkshopThe children in Year Four took part in an Art workshop organised by Wandsworth Art Service and the Royal College of Art. They focussed on climate change and how they could use photography to communicate and express their ideas to promote climate change awareness. They had fun exploring movement and then freeze-framing to capture a moment. They worked in groups to create sculptures using a mixture of recycled and natural materials and then photographed their sculptures! There were some amazing sculptures ranging from palm oil factories, to green forests and a climate change robot! Their photographs will be displayed as part of the Wandsworth Arts Fringe 2021.

Friday 2 October 2020London Brick Office Area RevampedWhilst the school was closed for the summer holidays, things were happening behind the scenes: London brick office was being refurbished and we are very proud to show you the final results. The spectacular mural was created by none other than our very own and highly talented art teacher, Miss Dwyer.
