School Council
Meet the Team
We are your school council for 2025-26. We have been chosen by our classes because we are trustworthy, hardworking and committed.
It is our job to listen to our friends' ideas on how to make Hillbrook a better place and to share their ideas in School Council meetings as well as tell our classes what we are working on.
Year 1
This year, we would like to do more learning outside, instead of always doing our learning in class.

Year 2
We would like to make the front playground better and have more equipment to play with.

Year 3
We would love to have more of our favourite meals on the lunch menu! - we can ask children using a questionnaire.
Year 4
This year, we would like to improve the playground by making sure the water fountains are clean and hygienic and putting nets in the goals.
Year 5
We would like to improve the school dinners, so there are more options and it is more delicious!

Year 6
We would like to have more competitions in school to raise money, then the money can go towards more exciting school trips for the year groups.

School Council Lead, Ms Alexander-McIntosh
The school council gives every pupil a voice, and when pupils have a voice, they have the power to shape a better school for everyone.

Our Responsibilities

Our Projects
Harvest Food Drive 2025
As part of our celebration of the Harvest Festival, we asked families if they were able to made a donation to a local charity. The charity that Hillbrook supported again this year was the Wandsworth Food Bank.
Last year, Hillbrook collected enough food to make 567 meals - it weighed 221.2kg! We are hoping for even more donations this year, especially with an uncertain and difficult winter ahead for many families.
Thank you for all your support with our first project of 2025-26.

Christmas Coin Collection 2024
We held a huge competition to see which class could collect the most loose change for Home Start Wandsworth. After collecting coins for a month, we had amassed £796! The class that collected the most coins was Iris Class, who had a HUGE £106.06!
Did you know that we collected 3,573 1p coins and 2,070 2p coins?!

What's Next?
In our School Council meetings, we will be discussing what is important to our school and what we would like to improve through pupil voice and questionnaires.
We will also be teaming up with the PFTA to promote our school events, like the Winter Fair which is on 5th December.
